Shalom Park brings together the Charlotte Jewish community’s resources on 54 rolling, wooded acres. The Foundation of Shalom Park is responsible for the physical site of this centerpiece of Jewish life in the Carolinas.
The mission of the Foundation of Shalom Park is to manage the facilities and resources of Shalom Park on behalf of the community.
History
More than 40 years ago, the then leaders of Charlotte’s small but influential Jewish community came together to dramatically reshape the future of Jewish life in Charlotte.
Their vision, passion, dedication and generosity became the catalyst for the creation of Shalom Park.
Charlotte’s Create Your Jewish Legacy (CJL) initiative promotes the message that all of us, regardless of age, wealth, or affiliation, have the ability to make a difference for future generations.
